Sales Manager - Durban South

Our Client in the Durban South Area is looking for an experienced Sales Manager who will be responsible for overseeing existing projects as well as identifying new business opportunities both local and international in the Prefabricated building industry.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct Line management for the Sales, Rentals and Project Teams, including chairing respective meetings to develop teams and meet KPI targets.
  • Monitors, produces and sets all KPIs for Sales, Rentals and Projects Departments.
  • Reviews all tenders, bill of materials, construction drawings and commercial contracts and liaise with Technical Manager for technical compliance.
  • Supports internal and independent sales or rental representatives in contractual negotiations or clarification meetings.
  • Reports and provides feedback at Operational Meetings to the Operational Members to discuss all upcoming Projects, Tenders, new developments and KPIs.
  • Prepares proposals and tender submissions, cash flow forecasts and project schedules and reviews Export Sales Rep costings for submissions.
  • Maintains and updates pricing schedules.
  • Reviews, negotiate and agrees contracts for Sub-contractors and Clients and where necessary provides clarifications on exclusions of scope of works for projects.
  • Provides forecast sales pipeline and identifies, monitors and secures new business (B2B)
  • Provides Project Manager with detailed handover of new project on award of Contract and is responsible in overseeing the project for its duration and when required is the lead in dispute resolution for projects.
  • Strategically expanding, preserving, or improving company procedures, standards or policies in line with ISO 9001:2015 for the Sales, Rentals and Project portfolio.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-8 years commercial or marketing experience in national and international construction / technical industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in administration / commerce / accounting / sales / marketing or project management
  • Strong Leadership Skills
  • Proven track record of Sales & Marketing
